Christmas and Cousins

One of my girls favorite things in the whole world is their cousins! This Christmas we got to see a bunch of them. We spent a few days in Issaquah with the Hamels and Grandma and Grandpa Kolbo. Then we went to Lincoln City and got to spend time with all of the Krueger cousins (17 of them). We decided to forego the gifts and focus on making great memories instead. Surprisingly enough, the girls said this was "the best Christmas ever".

this winter is wild!

What a crazy week.  I finished up practicum late last week. Last Friday I had a rehearsal for convocation and a wedding rehearsal in the same day. My sisters and their families and my brother were at my house for the festivities over the weekend. we managed to fit 11 extra people in our house!  My cousin Mandy's wedding was on Saturday. That's when it started snowing and getting really cold and windy.  Sunday we had the rest of the family here for brunch, then my ceremony was in the evening.  Still well below freezing weather. Tuesday night was our sr. class party at the Glover Mansion. Scott danced with me! Today, school was cancelled and we have about 2 feet of snow!  Scott has been out twice to shovel today. Eden has been making tunnels all over the yard.  Amy has her fiend Ellie over and they are playing dress-up in her nice warm bedroom.  We spent the morning baking and drinking lots of coffee! Check out the pics of our wild and crazy week. Tomorrow Scott and I will celebrate or 15th anniversary.

Piano Recital

The girls had their Christmas piano recital last night. Scott took them because I had to work. They are in their fancy dresses that they will also be wearing to the wedding this weekend. We figured they don't wear dresses very often so we might as well get a few uses out of them. They look a little stoic and nervous, don't they? Eden played Silent Night and Amy played We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Eden is happy that she gets to quit piano and move on to art lessons instead. Amy still wants to keep plugging (or plinking) away. She is doing really well, especially when you consider the fact that last year she was way too shy to perform in the recital. She also talks about doing voice lessons someday. Auntie Lisa, I wish you lived closer.
